Call for Speakers FAQs
EventMobi’s Call for Speakers is the built-in system for running a speaker submission process. Organizers collect proposals through a branded submission portal, review and decide on each one, and convert accepted proposals into speaker profiles and sessions, all inside the same platform used for website, registration and Event App.
Some conference planners choose to keep their Call for Speakers open year-round, but you can set specific dates to open and close the submission window.
No. The submission portal is a public page, no login or EventMobi account required. Spam protection is built in.
Yes. Add the fields you need, including text fields, dropdowns, and file uploads. Fields can be mapped to the speaker profile so they carry over automatically, or kept as submission-only.
No. You choose when to create the profile. One click creates it pre-filled with the submitted data and adds the speaker to your event’s speaker group.
Yes. Select multiple submissions and send decision emails to all of them at once, or send individually. You’ll see a preview before anything goes out.
By design. Review decisions change: you might accept a proposal early and find a stronger one later, or need to wait until registration opens before notifying anyone. Manual sending means no one hears from you until you’re ready.
EventMobi’s Call for Speakers is included in every package. It’s part of the Experience Manager by default, with no separate purchase or setup fee.
A form and spreadsheet can collect proposals, but every step after that (review, notifying speakers, building your program) is manual and disconnected. Call for Speakers keeps intake, review, and program build in one place, so accepted proposals become speaker profiles and sessions without re-entering anything.
